It is the general-purpose version of every other tool on this site. Start here when what you are choosing between does not fit a neater category, then shape the wheel to the job with colors, sounds and spin length.
Randomness works best when every option is acceptable and the cost is in deciding, not in the outcome. Five equally good lunch spots, three tasks that all need doing this week, a household rota where everyone does everything eventually. Let the wheel settle it and spend the time you saved on the thing itself.
It is less useful when one option is clearly better and you are hoping the wheel will talk you out of it. A good trick: if you feel disappointed when it lands, that tells you what you actually wanted.
Open Customize to pick from 24 color schemes, change the pointer color, set the spin length anywhere from 1 to 60 seconds, and choose how many full turns it makes before slowing down. You can put an image on individual segments or in the center hub, which is useful for picture-based choices or for younger users who do not read yet.
Add a title and short description to the wheel if you are showing it on a screen, so everyone knows what the spin is deciding.
There is no fixed limit. Each line you enter becomes one segment. Past a few dozen the labels get small, so for big lists consider grouping options or splitting them across two spins.
Yes. Enter it more than once. Each line is a separate, equal-sized segment, so an option entered three times is three times as likely as one entered once.
Yes. Tap the wheel to spin. Your list is saved in that browser, so it will still be there when you come back.
Use the clear option in the entries panel, or just select the text and replace it with your new list.
