Press Space to spin
Load your class list once and use it every lesson to choose who answers, reads aloud, presents first or hands out the books. Students see the wheel decide, so the choice feels fair even to the one who was hoping not to be picked.
Random calling also changes how a class listens. When anyone could be asked next, more students stay ready to answer, not just the ones with their hands up.
Paste the names from your register, one per line. Add a title such as Period 3 or Year 8 Science so the class knows which wheel is up. The list is saved in the browser, so if you teach several groups on one computer, keep a Copy link for each class and open the right one at the start of the lesson.
For a quieter room, switch the tick sound off and keep only the winner chime, or mute everything from the top bar. Set a short spin, two to four seconds, for quick questioning, and a longer one for moments that deserve a drumroll, like who presents first.
Turn on auto-remove and each student drops off the wheel once picked, so you work through the whole class without repeats. When the wheel is empty, paste the list back in to start a new round.
If a student is absent, take their name off for the lesson rather than spinning again when they come up. It keeps the process visibly fair.
The list is kept in your own browser. It only leaves your device if you create a share link with Copy link, in which case the names are written into that link, so share it only with people who should see the list.
Yes. It runs in any modern browser, and students can tap the wheel to spin.
Yes. Customize lets you add an image to individual segments, which works well for children who are still learning to read.
Turn on auto-remove in the winner window. Each picked student is removed until you reload the list.
